Nationalities

We are proud to have a diverse community of over 40 PhD students, representing over 30 nationalities, showcasing our commitment to global inclusivity and the exchange of diverse perspectives.

Postdoctoral Reserach Associates (PDRAs)

Over 35 PDRAs have come through the Scherman Group and 75% have gone on to secure subsequent positions in academia.

Gender representation

We are committed to fostering a gender-balanced team, recognising the importance of diversity and inclusion in our research team.
At present we have a 45 : 53 : 2 ratio of F : M : X of PhD students (current + past), 47 : 53 F : M for MPhil students (current + past) and 32 : 68 F : M for Part III students (current + past).
